Their roots are in the woods around Alabama’s Mobile Bay, and music has always been in their DNA. Sisters Shelby Lynne and Allison Moorer, born three years apart, have recorded 24 albums between them. But until “Not Dark Yet,” released last month, never did they record one together.

The whole album is redolent of the sibling harmonies that the two women have sung with each other since childhood. And this short documentary poetically tells the story of their bond.
