It is that extra-special time of year, when the attention of Southerners turns to our great common obsession: college football. The Bitter Southerner sent photographers to three games over the weekend. This is what y’all look like when you get that football feeling.

College football’s first full weekend just kicked off, and fans across the South — irrespective of rooting interests  — are ready for a season sodden with the same things: touchdowns, toddies and tasty tailgating. It’s what makes our games must-see events both inside and outside the stadium. 

No teams play the game better than ours down here, and no one throws down at tailgates like we do, either. From Montgomery to Athens to Atlanta, The Bitter Southerner shows y’all what we’re talking about, and shows you some .... shall we say … “behavioral models” for your tailgating this fall.
